DongJun Zhang is a independent menswear designer. Inspired by the beauty of everyday life, DongJun’s work is deeply connected to his personal experiences. From challenging society norms to navigating the narrow streets filled with cameras that characterize his hometown. Growing up in a working-class environment has influenced him to develop a unique perspective that fuels his creativity.
As a menswear designer, DongJun’s work extends beyond mere aesthetics. This is his medium to comment on our society and give a voice to those not often heard. In his vision the fashion industry often ignores the stories of everyday people. DongJun wants to change that by providing a different perspective that goes beyond the usual fashion narratives. Moreover, DongJun communicates not just through the silhouette of garments but also through other visual medium such as print and communication. DongJun’s designs express his commitment to a fashion world that's more inclusive, representative, and socially aware.
